Mobile World Congress


Over the past week coverage began for the Mobile World Congress in Spain. The MWC is the chance companies get to show off their new, shiny, mobile devices. This is a cell phone dominant event, but tablets have made their appearance as well.

Most Notable News
-Nokia will run mobile os Windows Phone 7 on their upcoming devices. Say they want to beat Android.
-Sony Ericson shows off its Experia Play (aka the PlayStation Phone)
-Samsung's Galaxy S II confirmed; dual core processor inside
-HP discontinues Palm (remember the Palm Pilot? Exactly) to focus on their webOS for their phones and tablets
-LG announced a phone that can do glasses-less 3D. Meh.
